Xiaomi vice president Hugo Barra and CEO Lei Jun has introduced its first two notebooks and unvieled the Mi Notebook Air a laptop series, both laptops are made by a Xiaomi subsidiary Tian Mi, it’s firstly appearance in China then other countries like – India, Indonesia, Thailand, Xiaomi both notebooks powered by window 10 that is thinner than the MacBook Air it’s build quality is impressive, comes two colors – Gold, Silver and metallic aluminum design with the silver coloured one looking like a apple MacBook Air without the Apple logo. Mi notebooks are affordable compare to MacBook.

The Mi Air Notebook(laptop) will be available in two different sizes – a Mini 12.5 inch varianta and a large 13.3 inch variant, Thickness of both notebooks are 12.9 mm and 14.8 mm respectively. The 12.5-inch laptop with 4GB LPDDR3 RAM and Intel Core M3 is priced at RMB-3599(approx $525 & Rs 37,110) and The higher end 13.3-inch Air laptop comes with 8GB DDR4 RAM, Intel Core i5-6200U processor, Nvidia GeForce 940MX ultra fast graphics solution is priced at RMB 4999 (approx $750 & Rs-50,110).
According to many economic survey PC and laptop market is decline every year where smartphone market rise up year by year. It is a very surprising to see a smartphone company Xiaomi enter this new world. But Xiaomi priced both notebooks smartly, according to the on board specifications and chiclet keyboard with backlit keys, slim metal body, light weight, premium design it is definitely good deal but Xiaomi has no experience in this field.

The entry-level notebook from Xiaomi is the Mi Notebook Air 12.5”, which comes with 12.5 inch full HD 1920×1080 resolution display, 170° wide viewing angle, with 600:1 contrast ratio. Laptop powered by 1.1/2.2GHz(base/turbo) dual-core Intel Core m3-6Y30 couple with ninth-generation Intel HD Graphics 515. The laptop come 128 GB SATA hard disk which maximum transfer speed is 500 MB/s, it also has 4GB LPDDR3 and 4 MB of last level cache, the notebook air comes 802.11ac 2×2 Wi-Fi Bluetooth, 1MP webcam, two microphones and AKG speakers37. It supports 37Wh battery which gives 11.5 hours backup, one USB 3.0 Type-A port, one USB Type-C port for charging and a HDMI output port.

Xiaomi known for its smartphones business but company entered in every electronic and home appliance products, Mi laptops as integrated parts of its Mi Ecosystem(Android TV STB, tablets, Mi powerbanks, headphones, smartwatch and air purifier). This year Xiaomi also launched Mi drone, which comes two options first was priced at RMB 2999 (approx Rs 30,510) with 4K video camera and second priced at RMB 2499 (approx Rs 25,200) with Full HD camera.
