Samsung’s Z series is yet to reach outside China and South Korean tech giant announced Samsung W22 5G for Chinese audience, it is an upgraded version of Samsung’s foldable smartphone Galaxy Z Fold 3. a high-end version that comes with 16GB RAM and 256GB of onboard storage, under partnership with Chinese Telecom. It is available for the price tag of CNY 16,999 (~$2,649). although the native Z Fold 3 is starting at $1524, which is available globally.
This stylish foldable smartphone from Samsung is the successor to last year’s W21 5G, it has a muted design and offset by its striking golden hinge. The Samsung W22 has a support of custom Spen, powered by snapdragon 888 chipset, an under display camera, side mounted fingerprint reader and 120Hz AMOLED display.
As we mentioned, above both is same just Samsung W22 5G has more RAM size than Fold 3. Both have a similar 7.6 inch inner display and 6.2 inch cover screen. The Samsung W22 has a 4,400 mAh battery, snapdragon 888 SoC as well, matching the Galaxy Fold 3. It seems that nothing has been changed by the company in the hardware of the camera, here it featured an under display camera. It has an IPX8 rating for water resistant.
The Phone is available in 16GB of RAM, 4GB more than its sibling Galaxy Fold 3. however foldable device is only come with 512GB on-board storage. an another difference, the Samsung W22 is available in two SIM card slots and With Fold 3 get only one nano SIM card and an e-SIM facility. Here the company has removed Google’s apps and added regional apps in their place.
The foldable Smartphone is come with two colors options – Gold and black. Its hinge is coated in Gold colouring and also Chinese Telecom logo. Now it is available for pre-order in China via Samsung’s website. Pre-order will start shipping on October 22.
