Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Chipset Specification

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC equipped ARM CPU cores in the 1+3+4 arrangement, new 7th-gen AI Engine, and have built-in 5G modem. It has one Prime core based on ARM Cortex-X2 which clocked at up to 3GHz, three more performance cores based on Cortex-A710 which clocked at 2.5GHz, and four energy saving cores based on Cortex-A510 clocked at 1.8GHz. All cores can use the shared 6 MB level 3 cache.

its Adreno 730 GPU is 25% more efficient and delivers 30% faster in graphics performance compared to the previous Adreno 660. The SoC is equipped with a faster 18-Bit Spectra-ISP (image signal processor) for impressive video and photo taking capability and is now called Snapdragon Sight.

The Snapdragon X65 5G model has been integrated in this chipset for fast 5G connectivity (up to 10Gbps download and 3 Gbps upload). Other connectivity features include Wi-Fi 6E, and dual radio Bluetooth 5.2 with FastConnect 6900.

This time, company has made this series available at an even more affordable price, its base model starting at $799, while its high-end model Galaxy S22 Ultra priced at $ 1199.

Motorola has launched, the Moto Edge X30 packed with top-end 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. with the debut of Moto Edge X30, the company become first to use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 powered phone. It equipped a 6.7 inch OLED display of 1080 x 2400 pixels, it is paired with 8GB and 12GB RAM, 128GB and 256GB on-board storage options. Phone price has been set at CNY 4,699 (roughly Rs. 54,549) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model.

4. Realme GT 2 Pro

Realme GT 2 Pro is another phone that runs on Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, this device was launched on 8 January and comes with an starting price of RMB 3,899 (approx ₹45,550/ $599). The Realme GT 2 Pro supports a top-of-the-line features including a great triple rear camera, an 6.7 inch 2K AMOLED display of 120Hz refresh rate and 13216 × 1440 resolution.

5. iQOO 9 Pro

Vivo spin-off brand iQOO launched the iQOO 9 Pro in India on February 23, it is an another sanpdragon 8 Gen 1 device with accessible price point, iQOO 9 Pro will be available in 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB storage configurations, phone base model is priced at Rs 64,990, although the top-end model at Rs 69,990 for 12GB RAM.

This device also comes in a magnetic charging edition.

8. Lenovo Y90

The Lenovo has launched its new flagship gaming handset, the Legion Y90, in China. It is an another cheapest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 smartphone with starting at CNY 3,999 (around Rs. 47,700) for the 12GB/256GB model. Legion Y90 has a 6.92 inch FullHD+ display, 5600mAh battery with 68W fast charging.

9. Xiaomi 12 Series
